Description
Each of these gold coins features a micro-engraved maple leaf mark with the number “14” and is displayed in an air-title and placed in a special Assay Card signed by the Royal Canadian Mint’s Chief Assayer. The Call of the Wild Gold Coins are eligible for IRA purchases, they are the purest coin on the market, and they carry a face value of $200. The coins in the Call of the Wild series are one of the most popular coin series in the market.
There has been a Call of the Wild series release each year since this Howling Wolf in 2014. 2015 was the Growling Cougar, 2016 was the Roaring Grizzly, 2017 was the Gold Elk, 2018 was the Golden Eagle, and 2019 was the Gold Moose.
The obverse of this gold coin features a Canadian Grey Wolf howling to the sky, with a claw mark design and the previously-mentioned privy mark behind the wolf. Above this is the word “CANADA”, and below are the words “FINE GOLD 99999 1 OZ OR PUR”, describing the gold content and purity.
The reverse features Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth with her name “ELIZABETH II” above her and “200 DOLLARS 2014” below her, describing the face value and year of mintage.
