While an unsealed box from a reputable dealer should contain the same amount of silver, there’s a chance that the coins have been swapped out and won’t be in BU condition. Unsealed boxes are therefore less expensive to buy, but also less valuable if you decide to sell. Sealed boxes guarantee mint condition, same production date, and a 500-coin quantity.
