Description
The Morgan Silver Dollar is one of America’s most beloved coin designs and is one of the more popular series to collect in United States Numismatics. This wonderfully popular design was created in late 1877 by Assistant Engraver to the United States Mint, George T. Morgan, and first appeared on the Silver Dollar in 1878. The Morgan Silver Dollar depicts a beautiful image of an American stylized model of Lady Liberty in profile facing left. She sports long flowing hair, a Greek style head cap with the word ‘LIBERTY’ inscribed into the headband and several leaves and branches protruding from the cap. The reverse of the Morgan Dollar displays a beautiful rendition of an American bald eagle with wings outstretched and clutching several arrows and a branch clenched in its talons.
The master artisans captured the essence of the Morgan Silver Dollar in this wonderfully adapted 1 Troy Ounce Silver Art Round by prominently displaying a similar portrait of Lady Liberty on the front of this custom 1 oz. .999 Fine Silver Round. Each piece in this offering will be struck on a solid 1 Troy Ounce .999 Fine Silver Blank and made right here in the United States of America.
