The next coin in Royal Mint’s Queen’s Beasts series – the 2018 1 oz Queen’s Beasts Griffin of Edward III Platinum.  Ten heraldic beasts stood guard at Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation ceremony – each depicting the mythical animal of choice from her ancestors’ seals. The Royal Mint started the Queen’s Beasts series to celebrate each creature with a unique design every year.
