Description
Cast gold bars are produced using traditional, simple methods. Gold is first melted down to a liquid form so it can be poured into molds. These prefabricated molds are made from heat-resistant materials and are designed to ensure that the shape allows for a particular weight of gold to be poured into the mold based on its size and shape. All cast gold bars from Argor-Heraeus are certified by an assayer.
An Argor-Heraeus logo is featured as the primary design on the obverse of the 250 Gram Argor-Heraeus Cast Gold Bars. The Argor logo can be found at the top of the design with the company initials in a central circle surrounded by a ring with the full company name. The nation of issue and weight are marked below this, followed in order by the metal content, purity, assayer’s mark, and serial number. The serial number code for 250 gram cast gold bars uses a one-letter, five-number system.
A blank field greets your eyes on the reverse face of 250 Gram Argor-Heraeus Cast Gold Bars. Most cast gold bars are available with inscriptions on just one side. Most cast gold bars cool either in an open-air cast or a cast that has a closable lid.
Argor Heraeus was formed as Argor SA in Chiasso, Switzerland, in 1951. Several mergers have occurred in the intervening years, including the companys 100% acquisition by UBS in 1973 and a 1986 split venture between UBS and the German Heraeus group that formed the modern Argor Heraeus SA. The mint is now headquartered in Mendrisio, Switzerland.
